As we have covered the major parts of the CDR preparation, today we are going to speak about your Continuing Professional Development report or a CPD.
The CPD is relatively easy part of the CDR, but a lot of applications fail due to incorrectly written CPD. The CPD must fit within one A4 page and contain information that is detailed on page 19 of the Engineers Australia booklet. You can download this booklet from EA website: https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/For-Migrants/Migration-Skills-Assessment/MSA-StepByStep-Guide Please notice that you don’t need to include any certificates confirming your courses and training with the CDR application.
What is important to include in your CPD is courses / seminars / training titles, dates, durations, and venues. You can include technical and non-technical courses / seminars / training but majority of those should be related to your profession. Also notice that your professional memberships should be excluded from the CPD but is very important to include you post-graduate studies.
According to our experience the Engineers Australia would want to see that you have undergone any kind of training – at least 2 items for each year after your graduation.
In your CPD you should also include books, professional journals, magazines (including on-line), manuals you used for your engineering work.
