We are following up with our former Clients who has used our services for CDR preparation, completed their migration skills assessment process and successfully immigrated to Australia. Here is a short interview with one of our former clients who is already living in Australia, enjoying a new chapter in his professional career as well as personal life. We share this with you so that you can get a grasp of how it is to have succeeded in your goal to migrate to Australia, as well as to inspire you in your efforts.
Can you briefly describe your professional settlement since you have been positively assessed by EA?
– Since receiving positive CDR assessment outcome from the Engineers Australia (EA), I was able to apply for Skilled 189 visa under Mechanical Engineer Occupation and got positive result in about 2 months. Upon settling here, job hunting was the first thing I focused on. In my opinion, it’s tough to get a job but it’s doable.
Did you find what you were looking for from a professional perspective?
– I did a short course just so I can adjust with Australia’s standards and that led me to a job. I am now working as a design engineer specialising in Solid works and mechanical design.
How is life in Australia for you, and how did you manage to adjust to the new lifestyle?
– Life in Australia, especially in Melbourne is awesome. People are friendly. There are so many places you can go to. Vast roads and reliable public transport. This country values health and welfare of people so you feel like you are being looked after very well. I have relatives around so that helped a lot with my adjustments too.
What would you advise to the people who plan to migrate to Australia?
– I migrated here in Australia when I was 24 and have only got few years of experience to get into the job. Getting here is a story, landing a job would be another story. It may seem tough but thanks to CDR Sample for being a big part of my “Migration to Australia” story. If not with my positive assessment from Engineers Australia, I wouldn’t be where I am now. It’s a domino effect so work on your CDR and make sure you present the best to EA to get positive results on your first try, and then apply for a visa and settle here, and finally, land a job.
