Engineers, if you are applying for your immigration to Australia, and you need to go through Migration Skills Assessment process, as a first step you need to prepare your CDR (Competency Demonstration Report). In this series of articles we provide useful information on how to prepare your CDR and your Summary Statement in particular.
We have already covered Career Episodes writing and now are finishing speaking about your Summary Statement. In this article we will provide more general tips for writing your Summary Statement. When you are writing your Summary Statement and filling a particular Element, try to make reference to all the relevant paragraphs from all three Career Episodes. For example, if you are filling in the Element that refers to safety, and you have this experience described in all the three Career Episodes, fill in the reference paragraphs from all your Career Episodes, not just those from the first Career Episode. Cover the experience you need to cover in one indicator or in few indicators.
In case you don’t have a lot of indicators to write to cover a particular Element, try to divide the indicator into two or more parts. For example if you are filling in an Element about your design experience you can write an indicator that would reflect a particular design experience in your first Career Episode and another indicator that would refer to design experience in your second Career Episode and a third indicator that would refer to design experience in your third Career Episode.
